CUPPA is packed and the crowd seems happy. Kim and Dennis have set up heaters and opened the large sliding windows to allow for more people to watch and listen from outside, too, though Mark hopes the neighbors don't call in a complaint.
Fabrizia and Vanda are both super happy about the quick turnaround on getting this live event going. Opal slips out of the kitchen area and looks nervous.
"Doing ok?" Fabrizia smiles.
Opal mutters something in Welsh, then tries a smile. "Peachy." She rolls her eyes. "Nervous as f^ck."
The twins smile reassuringly. Vanda says, "Hey, you're going to kick much ass tonight. Just be your amazing, salty, Welsh self and storm the gates." She watches Opal's smile go from forced to real.
"Thanks, mate. And thank you, Fabrizia. This is...amazing."
Dennis gives her a thumbs up. "You're up!"
"F^ck...." Opal mutters as she turns and heads for the stage.
OPAL walks up to the mic as her tech DJ starts the music tracks going.
CUPPA erupts into music and the crowd cheers.
Kim, Fabrizia, and Dennis watch on - excited and happy.
Opal is filled with joy and confidence by the warm response to her singing. The more she sees the smiling faces around her and the sway of the crowd, the more energy she puts into the performance.
More people gather outside and Tanya - in her sexy Fox suit this time, passes out fliers for the upcoming CINCO DE MAYO concert put on by WDAL. Zach's awesome idea.
Opal sees Claire in front singing with the music, so she turns the mic on her for a verse.
Claire belts out,
"Racing through the best days,
It's up to you boy you're driving me crazy,
Thinking you may be losing your mind!"
Opal smiles wide and nods her approval. "NICE!" and continues to sing while Leo and the others pat Claire on the back.
An hour flies by and Opal goes out on a high note with a happy crowd and a successful mini-convert event.
She ends her set with International Velvet and by the end the crowd inside and outside is singing along with her.
