Fighting Maid Figures - i8 Toys

 

I'm not sure exactly why I like it so much, but I'm digging the "Fighting Maid" style of figures. You see things like this in anime a lot and the figures have the same feel. It's a strange mash-up, but it works well for me. 

One of my favorites was Rosarita Cisneros from the BLACK LAGOON series. So cool. 

This new set is a fun one. Three of these Maids that would make a really cool shelf set. If I had $650 to spend on figures, that is. heh 

There are three figures in this set - each with it's own little style. I like that they are cute, but not overly sexualized like some offerings of this nature. I'm not a prude mind you, but I like a little subtlety.

Kim's magic is still working with Darcy and Mark, but is it her magic...or is their love unstoppable? 😍😍

I had some fun putting together some little food toys - MGA Miniverse. They turns out to be great. 

Lizzie sends the Anto Spell of Protection to Tanner and Cor as they search for Grazia and Martine. She realizes that she is more attached to Cor than she thought she was. 

Tanner says her goodbye to Ray. Neither are sure she'll be back. 

Angel takes over for Tanner while she's away and meets the new security lead and there are sparks between them. 

Chelsea Bruni continues her plotting and stays with one of Italy's huge witch leaders Caterina Gelli. Gelli is very happy that Chelsea has returned her son, but says she doesn't want to get involved with Moore's Witch War. Chelsea asks what happens after Giacomina fights Moore and comes back to Italy. 

Sophie and Lindsay are angry that Aly has not shown up for their photo shoot, not knowing that Aly has been kidnapped and killed by Janice. 

Heather gets a vision and tells Leo that he, Shane, Min and Claire shouldn't take the trip they have planned. Something bad will happen. Leo thanks her and talks to Shane about rescheduling the trip. 

Tanner and Cor search for Grazia and Martine in Germany, but can not find them. They plot their next steps and Tanner informs Cor that using a knife as protection from her wolf form isn't as good as staying still and being calm. 

Olivia wonders if she should call on the darker magic of The Three Mothers -Mater Suspiriorum, the Mother of Sighs. Mater Tenebrarum, the Mother of Darkness. And Mater Lachrymarum, the Mother of Tears. But, part of her knows that that dark magic will be dangerous...won't it?

Cindy uses her crystal ball and the entity within it to find the location of Grazia and Martine. Darcy asks if it's safe and Cindy makes it clear that she and the entity have an understanding. Darcy sees that Cindy is the Master there. Cindy finds out that Grazia is safe somewhere, but Maritne is in danger in Laon, France. 

The Moore Coven launches a one two punch to get Martine back. The Coven at the Estate use the estates spiritual architecture to boost several spells from the US while Cor and wolf Tanner attack on the ground in Laon. They run into...and through...Tristan Bonhomme during the rescue attempt and save Martine and her Death Jewel Box from the French witch group. 

When the group at the Moore Estate hear back from Tanner and Cor that all is well, they relax a bit and celebrate their first big win for The Path of Light.

Poe and Morgause meet in The Veil within Cindy's room - a space between worlds. Morgause tells Poe that she needs to continue training the women of The House and the Estate because the various factions of the Witch War are getting restless. She also asks Poe if she has her special weapon Pugnus Caelorum with her. Poe informs her that she does have the gun...and would love to use it. 

Janice makes friends with the new CUPPA girl (and undercover detective) Alison. 

Janice's appetite gets the better of her and she snatches model Aly as she's on her way to the studio. Poor Aly isn't seen again. ( ...but, will return as Hiroto's sister in the Hiroto spinoff story that will appear here soon! )  

Grazia wakes up in a sort of dungeon area and doesn't know how she's gotten there...or who her German speaking captors are. 

Zampa snaps Olivia out of her "poor me" state, reminding her that she's a powerful force in this world, not a victim, and it's time she started acting like it again. This gets Olivia up off her arse and she starts to organize a rescue of Martine and Grazia from Europe. 

Claire works with Severina to polish her animal communication powers and it goes very well. Claire feels more of a connection to creatures, zeroing in on how to speak to various animals in a way they will respond to. 

Cor and Tanner are given the green light to fly to Europe via Olivia's special chartered plane to find Grazia and Martine and bring them home. 

 

Weekly Recap - February 19th 2023 Week

 WOW...I've gotten really behind in the updates. Not sure anyone is reading them, but... 😜

I took James and Heather off on vacation with me and took a break from the horror to build up their romance as they took a little trip to Oregon together. James' sister Jen was also able to meet Heather - a major turning point for all of them. 

There was one bit of horror tale in the bunch where Janice was taken by The Demon and told that she had to disrupt the balance in Olivia Moore's Coven.
