Style in Scale

I was prowling around the InterWebs the other day and I stumbled across this amazing nugget. Style in Scale is a rather amazing blog where you can get some amazing scale furniture. Jennifer is doing some amazing work in scale. There are chairs and sinks and small kitchen items that show off some grand woodwork skills.
She does commission work and has an Etsy spot with additional info. Work passed on to customers is represented by some awesome customer photos posted on the site as well.
If you're a Fashion Doll person with a taste for the elegant, I highly suggest visiting Style in Scale and adding some of her pieces to your diorama!

Marwencol

An amazing film about an amazing man.

Mark Hogancamp was attacked by a group of men and beaten so badly that he lost his memory. He works out his feelings in a sort of therapy though the use of 1/6th scale action figures building the ficticious town of MARWENCOL and posing his figures to act out complex story lines.

Fantastic 1/6th scale dioramas and a truly touching story.

DONATE! http://www.marwencol.com/donate/
I'm planning to send some of my figures and gadgets to Mark.

The movie is available via NETFLIX streaming as of the time of this posting.

Azone International

AZONE INTERNATIONAL items work with 1/6th scale figures at times depending on the figure and the cut of the outfit in question. They have a large selection of them on Hobby Search, it seems.

AZONE International: Hobby Search

They also have a showing at HOBBY LINK JAPAN. HLJ also has a large selection of the Azone figures as well.

AZONE International: Hobby Link Japan

I like the different looks you can achieve with this line. Not your standard "hooker gear", Azone provides a strong Asian feel, action items and - for those who prefer a little sexy sizzle - some items that lean more towards fetish and the like. They also have some additional items like briefcases and hats and things to top things off.

What I found when I was working with the Azone items was that it really depended on the figure you were working with originally. The COOL GIRL figures seemed to work well, but I only tried dresses and I think the Cool Girl hips of Power®  :)  might not work well with the slim and slight pants made for slim and slight dolls. (Sorry...FIGURES)

The Dark Angel figure I made (left) worked well with the Azone Dress and stockings. It fit well and no adjustments had to be made.

My KITE-like figure to the right here was the same story. The Cool Girl figure fit the dress and shirt without having to augment anything. Here I had the chance to really break out of what the norm was to create something unique and fun.

I'd love to do a little more with the Azone accessories and clothing. The biggest issue is just making sure that the clothing fits the figure you wish to use. Some of that is leap of faith and some is guesstimating. While some sizes are given, there are some designs that just won't play well with certain figures.

N'joy and let me know if this was helpful in the comments.

Or, just say HELLO! :)

Getting Started in Toy Photography

I saw this and thought the group might dig it. I hope you can access the link.

Getting Started in Toy Photography

"I collect toys and I love photography. Combine the two together and you’ll embark on a journey filled with fun, adventure and new discoveries every time you go out and shoot. I’m no pro, but I’d like to share with you some of the things I’ve learned through experience, research and experimentation as I went through my own journey in this fascinating (and did I say fun?) photographic field."

Jim's Dollhouse Printables

Nice little site with various printable items for scale figures and locations.
"PLAYSCALE" is the area for 1/6th scale figures.

Black Lagoon Kitbash: Holster is finished!

I just got word that the custom hoster I had made for my BLACK LAGOON kitbash is ready for shipping! Murray from CORRIGAN HOLSTERS did an amazing job!
This holster will go on the Revy figure. Completing the figure with a tattoo on her arm and some of the Triad gun hands - she is called Two Hands for a reason, after all! - will make me a happy boy....until the next bash I wanna do, of course.... :)

1/6 Scale Signage

I so need this for my zombie diorama displays!
They have basically done all the legwork for you, taking cool zombie outbreak art and slipping it all into a nice pack for you.

Of course, if you are good at math, have a color printer and are not super honest, you can just print the images here and call it good. But, I think I'll toss some cash at these folks. :)
