Fighting Maid Figures - i8 Toys

 

I'm not sure exactly why I like it so much, but I'm digging the "Fighting Maid" style of figures. You see things like this in anime a lot and the figures have the same feel. It's a strange mash-up, but it works well for me. 

One of my favorites was Rosarita Cisneros from the BLACK LAGOON series. So cool. 

This new set is a fun one. Three of these Maids that would make a really cool shelf set. If I had $650 to spend on figures, that is. heh 

There are three figures in this set - each with it's own little style. I like that they are cute, but not overly sexualized like some offerings of this nature. I'm not a prude mind you, but I like a little subtlety.

MAN! I need more information on this one. I love it! It would go really well as the forth in my little Elf group, but seeing as some of their other offerings are well over $400 for a more "simple" figure, this may be something I have to craft and kitbash up....which will most likely end up having me spend well over $400 anyway! hehehehehe

Super cool idea. And it looks like the back section can be removed as well. Makes me think just taking the legs and torso from another Phicen figure and strapping it together with some sort of costume would do the trick. 

Hmmmmmm....and I have a broken necked male Phicen right here..... 😃

Second TBLeague Seamless Figure

 I snagged another TBLeague figure. ( First one was MONTH that you can see here ) I'm really digging the figures and think they did a great job on them both. Formerly Phicen, TBLEague is their new entity and it seems like the quality is top notch. 

I do wonder how they will hold up after time. I've seen some issues being posted with tears in the skin, but I also see that TBLeague clearly warns against bending the arms and legs too much and I'm betting the damaged area photos I've seen might have been caused by users some of the time. 

I got the TBLeague S22A pale, medium bust figure and...yes....it's anatomically correct. I won't be making use of that particular feature :::grin::: but...yep...there are parts. I really dig not seeing the seams and I'm playing with clothing combos that show off those sections. I figure there is no need to have a seamless body if clothing covers them all up anyway. 

The body has metal pegs which is lovely and is actually rather heavy overall. Sturdy, too. She can stand by herself and when I pop the hands and feet on and off, I have little to no fear about snapping a joint in the process. 

The figure doesn't come with a head, so I went with the SUPER DUCK SDH015 Female Head Sculpt H#pale Menga Style which is great! It's the "Menga" (I think they mean Manga) style, so it has a look that is a bit otherworldly, but I really dig the eyes and overall paint up on the head and it matches the body coloring well.

 

Lastly, you can get some great poses out of the figure. SUPER FLEXIBLE is what the figure is marketed as and....yup! The figure is very flexible! 

All in all....LOVING the figure. I'll probably end up getting one more of them in the future. 

Next step - better clothing. She kinda looks like NINJA HOOKER right now. :) These are supposed to be shorts, but....yeah...more like a leather swimsuit bottom. :::grin::::
