In The Service of Him figure

Oh...to have disposable income. :)

I just saw a video online where a collector has not one...not two....but FOUR shelves of threeA figures. He glides over them and lets us drool over them. hehehe  They look awesome, even though the thought of it being about $1500 per shelf made me swoon.

While threeA tends to go the "same thing, different color" route more often than not, the figures have a great look, style and texture. They run from super gritty to super slick and when they are posed in bunches they tell a great story.

From time to time I say to myself, "Now THAT is a cool and unique threeA figure that I can see myself saving up for and buying," (in another universe) IN THE SERVICE OF HIM is one of those figures. This cool, other-world gunslinger with horse is just all sorts of cool. It might even make a good pairing with some of the 'bots threeA makes in a sort of Dark Tower (King) sort of way.

If I ever win the lotto (...guess you have to actually PLAY to win, but...)  I'll have four shelves of threeA figures as well! :)

In Service of Him pre-order details

First a bit of a personal intro: I was a huge fan of Ghost Horse and Blind Cowboy super set; everyone who knows me, heard that I’m a big supporter of Daywatch (bats!) and Nighwatch bots…but that set really found an open highway to my heart. First of all, box size was taking me by surprise, as it was enormous and heavy! Once I opened it, it was completely mind blowing how perfect the set was from packaging till every last bit of detail on Blind Cowboy and on the Ghost Horse. Once I saw photos of Dark Blind Cowboy and Tombstone the Horse, I thought to myself: there is a new legend and hero in town. I’m always been a sucker for darker colorways and apparently dead horses.

Now to the pre-order info:

In Service of Him aka SUPER DEAD EQUINE set will be offered for pre-order on April 30th, 9:00AM Hong Kong time for 270USD shipped and comes with Red Devil Sock Puppet (different from Red Devil Lady Sham one and not shown on photos yet).

Dark Knight Figures

I could see the appeal of owning all of these figures and vehicles. It would be a fantastic collection for someone with the space to display them properly. While the price point of HOT TOYS figures is just....well...fucking SILLY, the product is solid and well made with tons of detail and quality put into ever one. If you live in San Francisco and want to see some of these figures up close and unboxed, you have to drop into HEROES CLUB - the owner not only displays many of the figures, but he has a style to his display techniques that does each figure justice. They look amazing.

I own two high end figures. One APEXPLORER figure and an IRON MAN MARK III from Hot Toys. While I love the style of the Apexplorer and the overall look and design, the Hot Toys Iron Man figure really takes things up a notch as far as the detail goes. It's just a different world for the Hot Toys folks. They are amazing.

In other news, it looks like THE BAT will not be produced after all. The size is prohibitive, evidently. Go figure. :)
