I just saw that GIANTOY has the "MAD WARRIOR" figure up for pre-order and it's looking pretty good! It has some fun details going for it like the leg brace and shotgun and the head sculpt is pretty solid.
And, best of all it's called one of the fun, "You can't sue us because the name is different!" names I love. "NOPE! This isn't MAD MAX, this is MAD WARRIOR. Totally different!" hehehehe
Now all you'll need is a 1/6 scale V8 INTERCEPTOR to go with him! Now that would be amazing.
GIANTOY has the full price for the figure listed as $160. The PRESENT STUDIO piece is pretty far out as releases go with an estimated release date of Q2 or Q3 of 2022, so you could do the $20 non-refundable down payment and start saving without much of a hit to your wallet! :)

DamToys have a new WANDERING EARTH set out and they look fantastic. I loved the film - classic Asian cinema goodness!

It's fun sci fi and I loved the tech in it. I scored two of the trucks as block builds, but this sixth scale figures are SUPER cool...and a bit too rich for my blood, sadly. :(

The detail on these figures looks fantastic as do the head sculpts. These ultra-realistic figures look like they've been plucked from the screen and are pack with glorious details that make them really pop.
I saw them on the MONKEY DEPOT site for pre-order - roughly $400 to $350 a pop. It makes sense. They have a lot of gear for sure. I'm hoping that I'll be able to part out some of the gear later on for my own build, but we'll see.

Well....I think I might have finished the lion's share of the HOVERBIKE 1/6th scale vehicle production. Let's toss on some music and review where I'm at, shall we?
Seven years later, I finally have something close to a finished product. hehehehe. It was slow going - mostly due to analysis paralysis and fear over messing it up. That's the funny part. Messing it up? Who'd care other than me?
Moving on...
I started off here after the last update for the most part...
Sprayed the "hover rings" to match the theme. Looking back, I think that I liked the grey theme a bit better. It was a bit darker and "cooler", but the red is fun, too.
Yeah...that orange has to go.....
A fun, sci fi addition....whatever they do. ;) I like asymmetrical over symmetrical.
Grunged up the red a bit to weather it down from the bright red look.
Found my GUNDAM decals that I purchased for my robot project and thought, "Yeah...this will work for the hoverbike." :::grin:::
The painted battery compartment looks much better in black. That Halloween orange was making me crazy!
I plan to touch this part up a bit to give it a more finished look. It was a last minute addition.
I added some wires to the engine area to liven it up a bit and also painted sections to get some visual separation to the area. I think I'll go in and add a bit more and detail the area with yet more MILLIPUT putty. Give it a more finished look.
And there it is! Finally finished the concept I had seven years ago. Pretty happy with it overall.
NEXT STEPS
The last thing I want to do is make a base for this with acrylic poles holding it about three or five inches off the ground and at a racing angle. The base will have to be rather heavy because this piece is SUPER heavy. That Milliput is great, but added a lot of weight because of how much I used.
I thought about finding someone with one of these signs to sell locally and using its base as the hoverbike base.
I think that would do the trick! That's all going to be worked out in a bit when things calm down a bit. For now, I'll just set this on the shelf somewhere close as a reminder that these projects don't need to be so scary. That's the big take away here - don't be afraid to just...dive in and DO something!

Flagset Doomsday War Series End War Death Squad U Umir + Dog Suit
Well, I finally got my Flagset figure and I really dig it overall. I made the purchase a while back from GIANTOY ( I really dig them and their unique selection) and did the action figure wait as holidays and the most recent virus outbreak has sent poor Asia spinning. :(
And yesterday, the package arrived!
I'm happy to say that 95%...maybe more...is what's on the tin. It's a very cool figure with a lot of great accessories to trick her out with. (list below)
The figure is solidly constructed and packed well in a sturdy box with the two layer foam design so common now - figure up top and accessories below. The only small issue I had there was that the individual shotgun shells came loose and a few were floating around. I didn't loose any, so no harm there.
You get a fun amount of detail in the figure overall. A nice head sculpt, cool guns, an axe....
She's ready to take on the world! :)
I have two main complaints and they are relatively small.
The Dog
Oh my....the radiation has really done a number on the dog. hehehehe It's eyes are just....strange....and there isn't a lot of detail to it. However, what it lacks there it gains....WITH ITS SUPER COOL SHOTGUN HOLDER HARNESS!!!!! :)
The Bald Head
While I totally love the option for hair or baldness with the figure, I found myself wishing that the seam was a little less visible. You can see that there is a big difference between what was shown and the final result.
The arm elbow joint areas were not as bendy as in the photos either, but it wasn't enough to be concerned about.
All in all, both GIANTOY and FLAGSET are still rocking the party as far as I'm concerned. GIANTOY has great customer service and prices. FLAGSET seems like they are providing quality based on this figure. I'd buy again, for sure.
This figure combined with my two Pinyike Realistic Robot Series All Purpose Humanoids and my Villa Sister Python Stripe Camouflage make a really cool post-apocalyptic, science fiction team! I can't wait to get out with my girls and take some photos of them out in the wild!
