IRON MAN out. BATMAN in.

Well, I'm selling off my MARK III IRON MAN.  An offer came in and I'm going to take it. I've been grinding my teeth over my choice to get the IRON MAN figure over the BATMAN figure since I purchased it. While Iron Man has always been a fave, the Batman mythos holds a closer place in my inner child's heart.

So...I'll take a few more Iron Man photos and take him away. I'm sure I'll be far happier with the Batman figure. I'm actually really excited about it.

Wish I could still get one of those stands they were selling for it....   :::grin:::  The HEROES CLUB gothic display was really cool, but it looks like they are out of stock. I got to see it and it was another awesome piece. HEROES never fails to please with their offerings. So cool.    http://www.artoftoy.com/daknbagodiba.html

Smart Doll

Ok...Danny Choo is just....cool. I think I remember him from ages ago with a little blog and now he's just huge and into so many cool things.

The "new cool thing" is the SMART DOLL. It's an Android phone controlled doll system that's being developed that will be the new ultimate for toy folks with a lot of cash. :) And, I think it's going to be a LOT of cash indeed.

However, talk about moving towards a GHOST IN THE SHELL ideal. Evidently, the doll will be synced with the phone so that it can notify you about mail and Facebook updates. I'm just picturing this doll waving it's arm and saying that you have new mail. Pretty damn cool.

The motion test below is rough, but knowing what can be done with motion capture now, I have no doubt that this will be a way cool, way smooth looking situation in the future.

Neat stuff!

From the YouTube blurb:

The first motion test ever of Smart Doll - the interactive line of robot dolls that my company Culture Japan is developing.
Today we look at the shoulder, elbow and neck servomotors only. The next video we will show waist, wrists and thigh servos in action.
We have not done the human robotics yet which means she looks kinda stiff at the moment - but that will be fixed and she will look very natural indeed!

The doll is modeled after the Culture Japan mascot character Mirai Suenaga who you can find out more about below.

You can keep an eye on this project at. Smart Doll was designed and printed in 3D.

HULK figure

I'm not a HULK guy, but this is a pretty impressive figure!

It's HUGE and it should be. While there are not many bells and whistles, AVENGERS lovers will want to get this to round out their sets for sure. Heck, I'd love a set like this on my self! So cool.

There are a few things that would have made it a little more...well...cool? A face change or head change option to get the Hulk yell face would have been cool. And, it's too bad we don't have better joint-tech developed. The wrists really stand out in some of these shots. However...who cares, right?! It's pretty awesome. :)
